The Fishing Page

Hey did I mention that I love fishing? Man, I've been fishing as long as I can remember. My parents started me off very young. Since then I've fished both freshwater and saltwater. My biggest freshwater fish is a trout that I caught in Arizona (10 lbs). My biggest saltwater fish is probably a 70 pound tuna that I caught in Mexico. I am very fortunate because my boss is also a hard core fisherman and we try to go on a long trip to Baja every summer. Usually we fish for tuna or yellowtail. If you saw my rods and reels it would make you shudder, I probably have over 40 or so of each. Heck, I used to work at a fishing tackle shop (Arts Tackle, Gardena CA) so I had to get everything that was new! I also just outfitted my kayak with the ability to fish! I've got a gps, fish finder graph, rod holders, and a bunch of other things. Me and my buddy wen have been going a couple of times a month. Its soooo much fun and great exercise too, in fact I'm going to buy a second kayak very soon!

So I'm sure you're wondering why I don't have any pictures of any freshwater fish? I caught my biggest ones of those a long time ago and the pictures weren't very good quality, plus if ya think I look goofy now, you should've seen me when I was young! But if it means anything to you,my biggest largemouth bass is only 5 pounds, and my biggest trout go 8 and 10 pounds. When I catch some bigger ones I'll post the pix okay?

My Dad and his 20 pound class yellowtail that he caught on my boat.

No we didn't kill anyone on the boat, I assure you the blood was all from the fish!

I found Nemo! Had to dive to 200 feet freediving

and killed him with a rare stone shot.

My Second White Sea Bass and my trusty rabitech spearguns.

See the spearfishing page I've got lots of other pix there as well.

My first legal halibut that I got on scuba, I actually stabbed it with a dive knife!

6.5 pound rainbow trout that I caught after a day of snowboarding

The winners of our annual family trout tourneyment. I was way ahead the

first day and then my fag brother got one on bait!

Man anyone can snag fish on bait, lures is where it's at you loser.

Living proof that I don't hate all sea lions. This is Bobo, he came up to us when we were

collecting rockfish and snatched bait right from our hands, this picture hasn't been altered!

Yes that's one big ass squid and yes its real!

The Mighty 40 plus pound yellowtail caught in Baja in 2004!

I kicked everyone's butt during the shore tourneyment that we do every year at the Bay of Los Angeles.

This is a shortfin corvina, it ate a small bay bass I was bringing in!

I speared this mullet in the sea of cortez and we ate him! Note the nice head shot (the mullet not me!)

Ain't that pretty?? It's a mutant looking 4 lb trout called "sierra gold" that

I caught at Irvine Lake in my kayak

Two new catches from one of my Baja Trips in 2003, left is a 20 pound sheephead and right is a small 30 lb grouper. Did you know that sheephead

change sexes from females to males? It's true! See and who said I can't be a good teacher!I lost a couple of nice fish too because the

stinking sea lions kept eating my fish! Next year I'm going to have a surprise for them, heh heh heh!

The legendary 70 pound grouper, these guys have been busting me off in Baja for years! This one was the biggest on the boat!

This is a young 40 lb black sea bass that I caught and released in 2000 at Catalina Island,

I caught it when I was fishing for a work trip, gosh don't I have the coolest job???

Now here's a good reason why you don't want to go swimming in any old place in baja!

This yellowtail got sharkbit right in half!

One of my biggest yellowtail, this puppy didn't get shark bit! It weighed about 30 lbs.

One of the big bruiser cabrilla from baja, a mere 16 lbs, but my biggest!

Just a little something I caught off of the Pier!

This is a rare golden cabrilla that I caught in Baja, isn't it cooooolll??

Here's a picture of my biggest dorado caught in the Sea of Cortez, it was over 30 pounds and was the Jackpot Fish of the trip (largest fish on the boat)

This is a 40 pound tuna that I caught in La Paz, it was also the biggest fish caught on the boat. Nice tan huh? During the summer I tend to get pretty dark.

This pixture is kind of dark, but its another grouper, a 30 pounder! It was also the biggest fish caught on the boat (see a trend happening here?).

Check out this weird pufferfish that my boss caught in Baja! It was heavy like a basketball filled with water!

A large hornshark I caught on the Catalina Above and Below Trip.
